Kathryn Shadbolt
I began taking photos as a very young child, and like a great number of people I continued with the children, holidays and all the major events in our lives. I have always loved to sketch and have painted both on canvas and china over the years. It was only when I finally retired and joined the Phillip Island Camera Club that photography took on a whole new meaning.
The Camera Club has challenged me more than I ever thought possible and I love every minute of what I spend many hours doing, taking photos. There is so much to learn it is mind boggling, but it is amazing when you look at photos you have taken and like what you see. I would encourage everybody to give it a go, it just may surprise you!
I enjoy taking photos of peaceful natural scenes and where better than this beautiful island on which we live . I also love travel and spend a great deal of time chronicling our trips in both Slideshows and Photo Books. There is something new around every corner and I am there to capture everything I see. Nowadays I print and frame all my own work and exhibit at Art & Photography Shows throughout Gippsland.
Thank you for viewing my images, I hope they inspire you to take some of your own.
